GRANITE FALLS -- Law enforcement officials are continuing to search and work to find a missing 27-year-old Granite Falls man.

Yellow Medicine County Sheriff Bill Flaten said Monday morning that Facebook-based rumors that a body was found are not true. He stressed that any information regarding Eric Santiago Martinez Solorzano would come from his office as an official press release.

Solorzano was last heard from along U.S. Highway 212 between Montevideo and Granite Falls at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Law enforcement used cell phone information and information from citizens to locate a three-mile range where officials searched from the river to the top of the bluff, Flaten said.

The sheriff's office tactical team, Granite Falls Fire Department and Rescue, a helicopter from the Minnesota State Patrol and a bloodhound from the Codington County, S.D. Sheriff's office searched along the highway between Granite Falls and Montevideo and the three-mile area.

The search will continue today and officials may need to wait for the flooded Minnesota River to recede, Flaten said. At this time, the sheriff is not suspecting foul play in the disappearance.

Solorzano is five feet 10 inches and 225 pounds, with a scar on his nose and tattoos on his arms. He was last seen wearing blue pants, black shoes, a white shirt and a blue jacket.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Solorzano is asked to call the sheriff's Office at 320-564-2130.
