Urban L. Loch March 23, 1924 - Aug. 2, 2009
BELGRADE -- Urban Leo Loch, 85, of Belgrade died Sunday at the Belgrade Nursing Home.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church in Belgrade. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service and for one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade.
He was born on March 23, 1924 in Freeport to Joseph and Clara (Linn) Loch. He grew up in the Belgrade area where he attended country grade school and Belgrade High School.
He married Dorothy Jaeger on May 5, 1947, in Lake Henry. They lived in Lake Henry until 1954 when they moved to Belgrade where they farmed. They retired in 1996 and moved into Belgrade.
He is survived by his wife; children: LaVonne (and Walter) Spanier of Paynesville, Gary (and Diane) Loch of Shoreview, Renee Lock of Vadnais Heights, Bernice Lock of Plymouth, Rick (and Tammy) Lock of Barrett, Joe Lock of Seattle, Wash., Ken (and Deanna)Lock of St. Michael, Alan (and Michelle) Loch of Belgrade and Mary (and Bill) Jacob of Shoreview; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and sister: Alverna (and Ray) Welle of Spring Hill.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandson; four brothers and two sisters.
