U.S. bobsled member has Montevideo ties
Justin Olsen, a pusher on the United States' gold-medal winning men's bobsled team, is the son of former Montevideo graduates Brad Olsen and Kim Bright, who now reside in San Antonio, Texas. He is also the grandson of Ken and Janice Olsen and Gordy and Gloria Bright, all of Montevideo.
The winning four-man bobsled team was driven by Steve Holcomb. Olsen sat directly behind Holcomb during the run in the sled known as the "Night Train". The team ended a 62-year Olympic medal drought for the United States in the bobsled event on Saturday at Whistler, near Vancouver, British Columbia.
