Minnesota State Patrol, Minnesota Department of Transportation and New London Fire Department responded this afternoon to an accident scene on U.S. Highway 71, just south of Kandiyohi County Road 40. The accident scene has now been cleared. All lanes on Highway 71 are now open.

WILLMAR -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation office in Willmar says the lane restrictions on  U.S. Highway 71 in Kandiyohi County south of Kandiyohi County Road 40 have now ended.

The highway lane had been restricted due to a motor vehicle accident. The crash site has been cleared and all lanes are now open to traffic.

MnDOT crews and the Minnesota State Patrol had responded to the accident.
