Laura Vaala and Cody Thomson were united in marriage April 28 at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Bonnie Vaala of Appleton. The groom is the son of Dennis and Janell Thomson of Louisburg.
Maid of honor was Hannah Vaala, sister of the bride. Bride's attendants were Alexis Falness, sister of the groom, and Dana Lien, Kelli Olson, Tania Kranz and Tami Schwendemann, friends of the bride. Flower girl was Irelyn Schwendemann.
Best man was Stephen May, cousin of the groom. Groom's attendants were Brady Thomson, brother of the groom; Ben Vaala, brother of the bride; Justin Falness, brother-in-law of the groom; Dustin Anderson, cousin of the groom; and Darby Bjorgan, friend of the groom. Ring bearer was Logan Kranz.
Ushers were Nick Anderson, Mike Hanson, Andy Larson, Amery Longman, MacKenzie Clark and Daidre Vaala.
A reception and dance were held at the Monte-video Training and Community Center.
Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple lives in Appleton where the bride is employed by Prairie Sun Bank as a consumer loan officer and the groom is employed by the city as a police officer.
