Variety of activities to highlight homecoming next week

WILLMAR -- Willmar High School will celebrate homecoming next week.

Monday will be "College Sweatshirt Day" with the homecoming coronation at 8 p.m. in the theater. The public is invited to the coronation.

The homecoming queen candidates are Shae Bruess, Chloe Donoho, Kaia Halbritter, Haylee Hastad, Karlie Hoffer, Rachel Johnson, Sara Kallhoff, Shantel Kelly, Alex Linbo and Karly Peterson.

Homecoming king candidates are Gabe Amon, David Arnold, Derek Ballandby, C.J. Dafoe, Mitch Fader, Greg Francis, Ryan Lawler, Taylor Neumann, Nathanial Swoyer and Kyler Vossen.

Tuesday is "Favorite Artist Day;" Wednesday is "Harry Potter Day;" and Thursday is "Western Day."

Friday's theme is "Cardinal Pride," the day to wear red and white. The pepfest is at 1:45 p.m. Friday in the gym and the public is welcome to attend. The Cardinals will host the Sauk Rapids Storm at 7 p.m. at Hodapp Field, with letter burning at halftime.

All fans are encouraged to wear Cardinal red to the football game.

The dance is from 9 to 11:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Admission is $5.

The High School will be selling shirts and homecoming buttons at the game.
