VFW Baseball: Morris overwhelms Willmar, 15-4

WILLMAR -- Morris drilled Willmar VFW Tuesday evening 15-4.

Willmar committed seven errors and Morris collected 12 hits.

Willmar ended its regular season with a 9-7 record.

The District 5 playoffs begin Tuesday. Morris appears to be the No. 1 seed and Willmar, on the bubble, is hoping for a first-round home game.

Mac Beyer hit a solo home run and a triple for Morris. Jake Togerson threw a five-hitter with five strikeouts to get the win.

Buzzy Tollefson hit a two-run double in the fifth for Willmar.
