VFW Baseball: Willmar I 2-1 at Marshall

MARSHALL --Willmar I VFW won two out of three games in the Marshall Invite this weekend.

For the tournament, Kyler Vossen led Willmar the plate, going 4-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI. Ryan Lawler tallied three hits, including two triples, and scored four times. He also drove in three runs. Jacob Rambow went 3-for-9 with two doubles and an RBI.

Gabe Amon ate up the most innings on the mound for Willmar. He gave up two earned runs on seven hits in 6Zc innings and struck out seven.

Damon Ruter pitched four innings and gave up two hits, but did not surrender an earned run. He also struck out five.
