Victim in fatal Carlton County train accident identified

DULUTH -- Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal collision between a car and a train Wednesday in Carlton County.
The Carlton County Sheriff's Office said Thursday that Susan McPhail, 67, was killed just before 8 a.m. Wednesday when her vehicle collided with a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train on Minnesota Highway 210.
Officials reported that McPhail was from Wright. An obituary submitted to the News Tribune identified her as a former Cloquet resident now living in New Mexico.
