Vincent Lonneman July 19, 1924 - Nov. 17, 2009
BENSON -- Vincent Peter Lonneman, 85, of Benson, died Tuesday at Meadow Lane Golden Living Center in Benson.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson with burial in the church cemetery. Memorials are preferred to St. Francis Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church, with a parish prayer service at 5 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
He was born July 19, 1924, in Adrian to Antone and Elizabeth (Wiedert) Lonneman. He grew up on the family farm near Adrian and attended St. Adrian Catholic School. He served in the Army during World War II from 1945 to 1946 as a military policeman in Germany.
He married Jean Moran on May 2, 1949, in Ellsworth. He was a farmer his entire life. He served as district secretary of Associated Milk Producers for many years.
He is survived by his wife; children: Patricia (and Edward) Lauricella of New Orleans, Kathleen (and Gary) Haacke of Boston, Steve (and Marguerite) Lonneman of San Rafael, Calif., James (and Carla) Lonneman of Hancock, Keith (and Mary) Lonneman of Benson, Dennis (and Marylou) Lonneman of Denver, Theresa (and Bernard) Tvedt of Danvers, Gary (and Jill) Lonneman of Benson and Marie (and Curt) Wevley of Starbuck; 16 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; siblings: Leona Lonneman of Adrian, Lorraine Marnack of Sioux Falls, S.D., Sylvester (and Helen ) Lonneman of Adrian, Anthony (and Rita) Lonneman of Adrian, Orville (and Elaine) Lonneman of Sioux Falls S.D., and Francis (and Susie ) Lonneman of Adrian.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
