PAYNESVILLE -- Violet G. Owen, 90, of Paynesville, died Wednesday at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia.
The services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church in Paynesville. Burial will be in the Paynesville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born June 26, 1918, in Paynesville to Frank and Sylvinia (Barger) Pratt.
She married Roderick Owen on Dec. 23, 1938, in Paynesville and lived most of her married life in Paynesville.
She is survived by her children: R. David (and Rosemary) Owen of River Falls, Wis., Rose Marie (and Richard) Cloakey of Staples, Valarie Lass of Richfield, Verna (and Curtis) Gruber of Buffalo, Terry (and LuAnne) Owen of Big Lake, and Timothy (and Trudy) Owen of Minneapolis; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brothers: Samuel Pratt of Riverside, Calif., and Paul (and Karen) Pratt of Paynesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, one great-grandson and one sister.
