HUTCHINSON -- Virgil Raymond Pehle, 72, of El Paso, Texas, died Sunday at Hutchinson Community Hospital in Hutchinson.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Burial will be in Arndahl Cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home of Litchfield.
He was born Jan. 14, 1937, in Grove City to Raymond and Eleanor (Kellevig) Pehle. He graduated from Grove City High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army for two years following high school.
He married Annette Brown on Oct. 21, 1962, at Arndahl Lutheran Church. They lived in Mound for 21 years before he was transferred to El Paso in 1983. He retired in 1997 after working for Tonka Toys for 38 years.
He was a member of the Norwegian Society of Texas and Mount Hope Lutheran Church where he was active in the men's prayer group.
He is survived by his wife; children: Greg Pehle and Keith (and Belinda) Pehle, all of El Paso, Texas, and Barbara (and Dean) Haage of Dallas; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
