Vivilore Mae Munsterman was born on May 13, 1927, in Fairfield Township, Swift County, Minnesota, to August and Alma (Thielke) Giese. She was called from this life on July 21, 2013, at the age of 86 years, 2 months, and 8 days.
Vivilore was baptized on May 17, 1927, at the home of her parents and confirmed on June 1, 1941, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairfield Township. She received her public education at Rural District #57, in Fairfield Township, where she completed the eighth grade. In 1981, she proudly received her GED.
On October 9, 1946, Vivilore was united in marriage to Albert Munsterman at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairfield Township. To this union four sons and five daughters were born. Together, Albert and Vivilore shared 66 years of marriage.
Vivilore (Vi, Vivi, Sis) was a homemaker and worked at Fingerhut in Benson, V.S.C. in Clara City, and retired from Innovex in Montevideo in May of 1992. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing cards and bingo, competing on Jeopardy, and spending time with her family. She also loved singing and passed that love on to her children. Vis aspiration when she was young was to be a teacher and she was encouraged by her teachers to seek further education. Although that was not to be, she was indeed a teacher to her own children. Her spontaneous jokes and sense of humor will be missed as will her love for and commitment to her family.
Vivilore was a charter member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clara City, and was active in the Ladies Christian Fellowship.
Vivilore is survived by her husband, Albert, of Clara City; their children: Elroy of Clara City, Linda (Terry) Stedt of Hugo, Janet (Kevin Wilson) of Forest Grove, OR, Daryl of Mankato, Marsha of Montevideo, Arlan of Granite Falls, Brad of Granite Falls, Brenda (Dean) Williams of Pequot Lakes, and Lori Bills of Granite Falls; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
