Volleyball: MACCRAY sweeps CMCS to reach .500 mark

CLARA CITY -- MACCRAY evened its record Tuesday after earning a 25-20, 25-15, 25-12 sweep over Camden Conference rival Central Minnesota Christian.

Ashley Beseman paced a balanced attack for the Wolverines (3-4, 5-5) with eight kills with Danelle Loomis added six more. Beseman also led the team with three ace serves and two ace blocks.

Cassie Ulferts had four kills and Kristin Wittman had three ace serves for CMCS (2-4, 5-7).

After losing 25-23 to start the match, Litchfield (6-5) set up blocks that led to Maple Lake hitting errors while also moving better on defense than in recent matches, according to coach Darin Swenson.
