RENVILLE -- Renville County West put defending Class AAA champion Marshall on its heels and didn't let up, leading to a 23-25, 14-25, 25-20, 25-22, 15-9 win in non-conference volleyball action Thursday.

After falling into a 2-0 hole, the Jaguars (10-8) started forcing the issue with their serving to keep Marshall, ranked No. 2 Class AAA, from getting comfortable.

Nicole Lindquist served four of RCW's 10 aces and misfired only once

Defensive picked up the rest of the slack for the Jaguars.

"We didn't pound the ball, but forced them into some errors and kept them out of the their system," said RCW coach Dan Loe.

Katie Eekhoff powered the Jaguars with 22 kills and four ace blocks. Megan Groen followed with 10 kills, Nicole Lindquist had 17 digs and Sally Smith recorded 50 set assists.
