Volunteers to install flag poles for vets during Week of Action
WILLMAR -- Military veterans, widows of veterans and family members of veterans can have a flag pole installed for free during the annual United Way of West Central Minnesota's Week of Action, Aug. 24-28.
Community volunteers will install the poles at no cost to the veteran or family.
Eligible recipients must pay for the pole, American flag and gold ball for the top, which is being made available at a reduced cost by a local business.
They will also be charged a minimal fee for the cost of the concrete for the poles.
