ST. PAUL -- Some municipalities and school districts will be holding elections Tuesday.

Secretary of State Mark Ritchie encourages Minnesota voters to use the Office of the Secretary of State's free online Polling Place Finder to locate their polling location for this election.

"It is very important for voters to check to see where they should vote, because polling locations for school district elections may be different than for a state general election," said Ritchie. "If voters have an election in their community, the Polling Place Finder will help them locate the correct polling place."

Using the Polling Place Finder is easy. A voter merely needs to enter their residential address to be provided with the location, and an option for printing a map, for the appropriate polling place.

A link to the Polling Place Finder is available on the homepage of the office website at www.sos.state.mn.us.

On Election Day, most polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Minnesota has Election Day registration, which allows voters to register at the polls on the day of a general election. Minnesotans can find information on voter eligibility requirements and look-up their voter registration status by visiting the secretary of state's office voter webpage at: www.mnvotes.org.
