WADENA, Minn. - Wadena area students have a badly damaged high school building after a tornado tore through the town this June.

But that isn't stopping the Wadena-Deer Creek school district officials from holding classes starting Sept. 7.

The 7th and 8th graders will go to a closed down school 10 miles away. The high school students will split their time between the elementary school and a community college.

The district office will move into the Headstart building, which will move in with the preschoolers.

WCCO-TV reports that it's unclear when the old school will be torn down. The district is still negotiating with the insurance company but the plan is to have the new school for the 2012-13 school year.
