GLENWOOD -- Warren Robert Edinger, 85, of Glenwood, died Friday at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.

The service will be at 11 a.m. today at All Saints Chapel in the Glenwood Retirement Village. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are by Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

He was born Sept. 15, 1923, in Elbow Lake to Emil and Elizabeth (Cosh) Edinger. He attended school in Glenwood and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1943. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 as a gunner's mate. He then moved back to Glenwood and began working for the railroad.

He married Martha Jensen on Sept. 15, 1967, in Nashua, Iowa. They lived in Glenwood where he continued to work for the railroad for until his retirement after more than 40 years with the railroad.

He is survived by his sister: Helen Schaefer of Pine City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 7, 1996; two sisters; and one brother.
