"We played the No. 1 team in the nation very well," Warriors coach Carrie Ogdahl said. "We were down six at half time and with nine minutes to go had a 10 point game."

Annie Winter led the Warriors (2-9, 5-18) with 16 points.

Shantel Kelly added 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.

"It was probably one of the best games they've played all year," Ogdahl said. "It was much closer than it looked."

The Warriors also got into some trouble with 21 team fouls, and the Golden Rams took advantage, shooting 20-32 on free throws.

Tamarra Shorter led Anoka-Ramsey (12-0, 24-2) with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 9 steals.

The Warriors wrap up the regular season 1 p.m. Saturday at Fergus Falls.
