The Bucks collected 16 hits off seven different Willmar pitchers. Waterloo’s No. 3 hitter Chesny Young scored six runs, cleanup hitter Kyle Pollack had four hits and four RBIs, and Connor McClain drove in seven.

Pollock clubbed a three-run homer off Stingers’ starter Sheldon Lee in the first inning to give Waterloo a 3-0 lead.

Willmar’s Max Kuhn tied it with a three-run shot of his own in the bottom of the first.

The Stingers briefly led 6-4 in the third thanks to a two-run single by Kyle Perry.

But Waterloo tagged Stingers’ reliever Josh Matheson for four runs without recording a single out, and continued to burn through the Willmar bullpen for the rest of the game, putting up five runs in the seventh and six in the eighth.

Perry and Michael Suchy had two hits each for the Stingers, and Zack Tillery scored three runs.

The Stingers fell to 3-4 and are in fifth place in the Northwoods League North Division. They play 7:05 p.m. today at Rochester.
