Watershed district hosting lunchtime speaker Thursday in Belgrade, Minn.

BROOTEN -- The North Fork Crow River Watershed District will host an agricultural presentation "The View from the Tractor Seat" at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Belgrade.

David Legvold will discuss emerging trends in nutrient management and tillage, manure management and economics, easy-to-manage Environmental Quality Incentives Program and Conservation Stewardship Program contracts, and drainage management. Legvold farms 800 acres near Northfield. He raises corn, soybeans and beef cattle.
