According to a news release from Sheriff Jeff Norlin, law enforcement and emergency responders were dispatched around 3:30 p.m. Monday to 642nd Avenue in Forest Prairie Township for a single vehicle rollover crash.

A 1995 Chevy pickup was southbound on 642nd Avenue in the area of 380th Street when it veered into the northbound lane, overcorrected and then rolled twice in the ditch. The pickup landed upright and caller reported that the driver left the scene before emergency crews arrived.

Deputies responded to the residence of the registered owner of the vehicle and located Michael Stanger. He was treated for numerous cuts and scrapes by Watkins Ambulance personnel before being arrested for driving while impaired. A test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.10.
