WILLMAR -- Accumulating snow is likely late this afternoon and evening in parts of west central Minnesota.
The National Weather Service in Chanhassen has issued a winter weather advisory starting at 2 p.m. for areas near and west of a line from Granite Falls to Glenwood to Wadena late this afternoon into tonight.
The weather advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday and includes the cities of Benson, Glenwood, Granite Falls, Madison and Montevideo.
A combination of rain and snow is possible in the advisory area. As the precipitation increases in intensity, it is expected to change over to snow.
