Weather service has issued hazardous weather outlook

WILLMAR -- The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for west central and southern Minnesota due to 20 to 30 mph winds and blowing snow.

The breezy conditions are expected to diminish overnight as a high pressure moves over the area and will make way for a mostly sunny but cold Saturday with highs from 5 to 10 mph.

The blowing snow is created reduced visibility in open areas.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation's www.511mn.org site, road conditions are fair with packed snow and slippery conditions caused by the blowing snow. Drivers are urged to take caution when driving on area roadways.
