Outdoors

Prairie Woods ELC

The cross country ski trails are open from 8 a.m. to sunset. Rental skis are available for $12 a day for non-members. Call 354-5894 for more information.

Sibley State Park

Interpretive Center open during the week; call 320-354-2002 for hours; weekend programs are at the Interpretive Center and are led by the park naturalist or visiting expert. A vehicle permit is required to enter the park and they are available at the park office. For more information call 320-354-2002.

Winter trails: Nordic skiing and snowmobile trails are groomed, weather permitting.

Snowshoe hike: 2 p.m. Saturday, weather permitting.

Bluebird conservation story: 3 p.m. Sunday.

Physical activities

Willmar Junior High

Open swimming, 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, $2 per person, enter through east locker room doors.

Willmar Civic Center

Skating will be either in the Civic Center or the Blue Line Arena; $2 for all ages; $1.50 skate rental, unless otherwise stated.

Open skating: 7:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday, last time this year.

Leisure time hockey, adults only: 8:30 to 10 p.m. Sunday, last time this year.

Youth open hockey, grades 2 through 7: noon to 1 p.m. Saturday; parents welcome to skate along free.

Open curling, age 8 and older: 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday; stones and brooms provided.

Outdoor skating rinks

Warming houses: Garfield, Lincoln, Hilltop and Northside, open and staffed, at 4 p.m. school days, 1 p.m. weekends and school holidays; close at 9 p.m. nightly.
