The Lower Sioux Agency Historic Site is nine miles east of Redwood Falls on Redwood County 2. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and holidays and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Footprints of History: Join a guided tour which will offer insights into traditional Dakota culture; how the lives of the Dakota changed because of government policies and treaties; the role and purpose of the Lower Sioux Agency; how the Agency would have looked 150 years ago; and the events that led up to the U.S.-Dakota War; tours begin at 11 a.m., 1 and 4 p.m. Saturday, 1 and 4 p.m. Sunday.

Dakota Indian games children's program: 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; play double ball, bone and pin and moccasin games.
