Sibley State park programs are on the weekends at the Interpretive Center and are led by the park naturalist or visiting expert. A vehicle permit is required to enter the park and they are available at the park office. For more information call 320-354-2002.
Snowshoe hike: 2 p.m. Saturday, weather permitting; following a brief talk, a naturalist will lead a beautiful and exhilarating winter hike. Snowshoes will be provided to the first 20 people, 10 years of age and older, who call for reservations, 320-354-2055. Kids must be accompanied by one adult.
Winter bird feeding: 2 p.m., Sunday; learn about foods, feeders, bird identification and behavior of winter birds; free bird feeder designs and information available.

Prairie Woods ELC
The Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center welcomes hikers, snowshoers and skiers on the grounds during daylight hours at no cost. The seven miles of ski trails are open from 9 a.m. to sunset; no dogs on ski trails, and pets should be on a leash. Ski and snowshoe rental are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and other times by appointment. Contact PWELC at 320-354-5894 or by e-mail at email@example.com. Almost free ski day: 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 9; rent cross country skis for $2 a pair and pick up some pointers from local ski enthusiasts.
Willmar Civic Center
Skating and curling will be either in the Civic Center or the Blue Line Arena; $2 for all ages; $1.50 skate rental, unless otherwise stated.
Open skating: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday
Leisure time hockey, adults only: 7:45 to 9:15 p.m. Sunday
Youth open hockey, grades 4 through 9: times will vary on Monday evenings.

Outdoor skating rinks
Warming houses: Garfield, Lincoln and Hilltop, open and staffed, at 4 p.m. school days, 1 p.m. weekends and school holidays; close at 9 p.m. nightly.
