Clean Up the River Environment volunteers cleanup along the Minnesota River and U.S. Highway 212; 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, rain or shine, Minnesota River landing, Wegdahl; bring gloves and work clothes, and if available, pickup trucks to help carry the debris to be collected.

Sibley State Park

Interpretive Center open during the week; call 320-354-2002 for hours.

Sibley State park programs are on the weekends at the Interpretive Center and are led by the park naturalist or visiting expert. A vehicle permit is required to enter the park and they are available at the park office. For more information call 320-354-2002.

Bird watching walk: 8:30 a.m. Saturday; naturalist-led walk to various habitats to observe birds; binoculars and a bird book are recommended, and some will be available for use.

Amazing Amphibians: 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; Sibley State Park is a home for 10 of the 19 species of amphibians found in Minnesota. Learn about frogs, toads and salamanders.
