Wesley Anderson Oct. 24, 1917 - Dec. 17, 2008

KERKHOVEN -- Evert Wesley Anderson, 91, of Kerkhoven died Wednesday at Willmar Commons in Willmar.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Evangelical Free Church in Kerkhoven. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Kerkhoven.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Harvey Anderson Kerkhoven Funeral Home and for one hour prior to service at the church.

He was born Oct. 24, 1917, in Salem, S.D., to Reuben and Agda (Johnson) Anderson. He grew up on a farm north of Kerkhoven and attended School District 18.

He married Helen Marie Watkins on July 3, 1941. He farmed with his father for years and farmed the same land until he retired in 1982. They wintered in Texas for 25 years. They moved into Kerkhoven in 1984. He moved to Willmar Commons in October. He served as church treasurer and usher.

He is survived by his wife; children: Daniel (and Linda) Anderson of Brownsville, Texas, Connie Katter of Springfield, Mo., Darlene (and Bruce) Anderson of Worthington; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven sisters and one brother.
