West Central Singers invited to perform at Carnegie Hall

WILLMAR -- The West Central Singers of Willmar have been invited to perform Feb. 20 at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The Willmar group is directed by John D. Jahr. It will join with other choristers to form the Distinguished Concerts Singers International, a choir of distinction in a performance of "The Music of Greg Gilpin."

Composer/conductor Greg Gilpin will lead the performance in Carnegie Hall's Isaac Stern Auditorium and will serve as the clinician for the residency. The singers will spend five days in New York City in preparation for their concert, rehearsing for nine to 10 hours during those five days.
