NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Joel Ward and Martin Erat each had a goal and assist in the first period, and the Nashville Predators beat the Minnesota Wild 4-0 Thursday night.

Nick Spaling scored two goals, and Pekka Rinne stopped 19 shots for his third shutout of his career against Minnesota and sixth overall this season.
