The Benson High School Marching Band is in rhythm headed north on Sixth Street Southwest early in the Willmar Fests Grande Day Parade Saturday morning. The Rice Hospital Foot Lake 4-mile run began with a run along the north shoulder of Highway 71/23 to skirt the bike trail flooded in parts by rain-swollen Foot Lake. Ian Thompson, 16, in 22:50 was overall winner; Tracy Sik, 44, repeated as women’s champion in 26:44. The 20th anniversary of the run listed 440 chipped participants plus many walkers. 2 / 3
