Willmar is Girls Lynx Team of the Week

The Willmar Cardinals are the Girls Minnesota Lynx Team of the Week ending Feb. 5 after a pair of wins over Brainerd (65-45) and Alexandria (55-50), the women's professional basketball team announced Tuesday.

The victories brought Willmar's win streak to six and record to 15-3, since extended to eight and 17-3.

This is the ninth of 12 weeks for the Lynx award. Each team receives a Certificate of Merit and is invited to a Lynx game during their season, starting June 6.
