Willmar man arrested in Litchfield drug raid

LITCHFIELD - A drug raid last night in Litchfield netted nearly half-pound of methamphetamine.

Two people, including a Willmar resident, were arrested.

According to the Litchfield Police Department, the raid happened at 7 p.m. when the police department, the CEE-VI Drug Task Force and the Southwest Metro Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at an apartment on West Third Street in Litchfield.

Officers found about 200 grams of meth in the home, as well as drug paraphernalia, packaging supplies and cash.

A 27-year-old man from Willmar and a 22-year-old woman from Litchfield were arrested and are being held in the Meeker County Jail awaiting formal charges.

The search warrant was part of an on-going investigation for the trafficking of illegal drugs.

More arrests are possible.
