Willmar man pleads to his role in fight

WILLMAR -- Efren Vasquez, 22, of Willmar, pleaded guilty Monday to a second-degree riot charge for his role in a fight over a girl in April.

As part of a plea agreement reached in Kandiyohi County District Court, two additional felony charges of second-degree assault and riot will be dismissed. Vasquez will be sentenced Nov. 4.

Vasquez and Jeremy Joshua Williams, 18, of Willmar, were charged with the felony counts after the April 28 incident.
