As part of a plea agreement reached in Kandiyohi County District Court, a felony charge of second-degree assault and a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault will be dismissed. He will be sentenced July 23.

The charges were filed after Willmar police were called to an apartment building. A woman there reported she and Wallace had been arguing, which was described as a common thing between them.

The woman reported Wallace had threatened her with a knife and with a computer cord that day. She said he had also pushed over a chair she was sitting in so it fell over and blocked her way when she attemp-ted to leave the apartment.

Wallace was questioned a-bout the knife, he denied having a knife and said that someone had stolen his knife. He attempted to look through a bag. He did not stop when ordered to by the officers and he was handcuffed after a short struggle.

Officers were given permission to search the apartment and located a knife, matching the description given by the woman, near the area where Wallace had been looking through the bag. Officers were also able to locate the computer cord.

Neighbors in the building reported they had heard Wallace yelling at the woman and one reported he heard him say he wanted to the kill her.
