He bought give sets of numbers with the Power Play multiplier for the Wednesday drawing.

He stopped at a Willmar store to buy ice cream and check his numbers. The store informed him that it could not pay the prize -- a $10,000 winner because he had four of the five numbers matching plus matching the Powerball, and a Power Play multiplier of five, for a $50,000 overall prize.

Deppa claimed the prize Friday.

The Power Play option is an additional cost and multiplies any prizes short of the jackpot up to five times.
