WILLMAR — The Willmar City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the chambers at the Municipal Utilities Building, 700 Litchfield Ave. S.W. The date was changed due to the Presidents Day holiday on Monday.

Audrey Nelsen will receive a certificate of election as a result of her winning the Ward 4 special election last week. Judge Donald Spilseth will administer the oath.

The council will conduct two public hearings. The first will be on the Lakeland Drive interceptor sewer facilities plan and the second will be on proposed 2013 street and other improvements and to order preparation of plans and specifications.

The council will receive reports from the Public Works/Safety Committee and the Labor Relations Committee.

The council will consider setting March 4 as the date for a hearing on an ordinance amendment that will allow multiple on-sale liquor licenses to be issued to the same owner. This is allowed by state law.

The amendment will allow TPI Core Properties to hold dual licenses for its Green Mill Restaurant and Bar, and for its Hurricane Grill and Wings at the company’s proposed remodeled hotel on U.S. Highway 12 East.

Also, the council will consider setting a hearing for March 4 to consider an amendment to the zoning ordinance that would clarify the appeals process.
