Willmar, Minn., election turnout was 74 percent

WILLMAR -- Election Day voter turnout in Willmar during Tuesday's general election was 74.4 percent, according to City Clerk Kevin Halliday.

The city had 9,370 registrants when polls opened at 7 a.m. There were 1,476 new registrations and 93 absentee ballot new registrations, bringing the number of total registered voters to 10,939.

There were 7,153 signed voters and 986 absentee voters, bringing the number of total voters to 8,139.
