Willmar, Minn., insurance agencies announce merger

WILLMAR -- Ken Ohl, president of Pioneer Heritage Insurance LLC, and Jim Lundquist, president of Willmar Insurance Agency, have agreed to merge the agencies effective April 1.

Pioneer Heritage Insurance LLC is an independent insurance agency representing a variety of top-rated insurance companies offering all lines of property/casualty and life/health products. The agency currently has 11 employees among four locations in Willmar, Spicer, Pennock and Raymond.

Willmar Insurance Agency is one of the oldest independent insurance agencies in west central Minnesota, originating in Willmar in 1890. It has been owned and operated by Jim Lundquist for the past 31 years. The agency is located at 2015 S. First St. in Willmar and has five employees.

Ohl said they plan to operate the agency at its current location under the Pioneer Heritage Insurance LLC name, along with the same staff.
