Willmar, Minn., Planning Commission to review mosque findings Wednesday at meeting

WILLMAR -- The Willmar Planning Commission will review on Wednesday night its findings of approval for a conditional use permit requested by the Islamic Society of Willmar to operate an Islamic mosque at the former Lafayette School, 1112 Lake Ave. N.W.

Besides the mosque, the society will provide religious education, adult education and limited child care.

The commission approved the society's conditional use permit on March 28. The commission's review will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday in conference room 2 at the City Office Building, 333 Sixth St. S.W.

The commission's minutes of the March 28 meeting will be part of the City Council's consent agenda at the April 16 meeting.
