Willmar, Minn., Police, area law, feds investigating counterfeit bills

WILLMAR -- The Willmar Police Chief is asking all businesses and restaurants to take necessary measures and precautions to determine the authenticity of the cash accepted at their establishments.

Multiple counterfeit bills have been reported by businesses and financial institutions in Willmar and in surrounding communities. Chief David Wyffels says the Police Department is investigating and working with the Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies to solve the counterfeiting crime.
