Willmar, Minn., Police catch teens reported shooting pellets at houses
WILLMAR -- Two juvenile males, ages 17 and 13, were caught by Willmar Police shortly after the teens allegedly fired several shots from a CO2-powered pellet handgun at homes along the 500 block of Robbins Avenue Southwest.
According to a news release from Police Sgt. Michael Anderson, officers were called around 9:10 p.m. Thursday and arrived to find the two individuals matching the description given of the suspects. A foot chase ensued and an officer witnessed one of the boys toss the gun and other items during the chase. The teen was caught and arrested and the other boy was located a few minutes later a couple of blocks away.
Both were taken to Prairie Lakes Youth Programs and could face charges of property damage and fleeing police on foot.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office and the State Patrol provided assistance to the Police Department.
