Willmar police investigate stabbing of woman Saturday

WILLMAR -- A 24-year-old woman suffered a non-life-threatening in-jury when she was stabbed in the leg with a knife during an argument at approximately 7 p.m. Saturday in the Dana Heights area, Willmar police said Sunday.

An unknown male entered the residence and an argument began with the woman. She defended herself during a fight and was stabbed in the leg. She was treated at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Police described the suspect as a Somali male, approximately 5-feet 8-inches tall, wearing jeans and a T-shirt. He fled on foot.

The Police Department is investigating.
