Willmar Police seeking information on hit-and-run crash

WILLMAR -- The Willmar Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened early Saturday morning and are asking anyone with information to call the department.

According to a news release from Capt. Jim Felt, Mandy Sundin, 20, of Kandiyohi was driving a 1997 Dodge pickup westbound on U.S. Highway 12 and was struck by a southbound vehicle at the intersection with Lakeland Drive Southeast. The crash happened around 1:10 a.m. Saturday. Sundin had a green light to pass through the intersection.

The pickup rolled after the impact and the driver of the second vehicle, a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage, fled from the scene on foot. The person remains at large.

Sundin was wearing her seat belt and was not injured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
