Willmar School Board: Croonquist, Mathiasen and Streed elected to four-year terms
WILLMAR -- Dan Croonquist, Linda Mathiasen and Nathan Streed were elected to four-year terms on the Willmar School Board in Tuesday's election.
The three were chosen from a field of seven candidates. An eighth candidate listed on the ballot, Brian Bollig, withdrew from the race after the ballots were printed.
The vote totals were Croonquist, 4,139; Fenske, 3,026; Gould, 2,614; Mathiasen, 3,047; Mueske, 2,590; Streed, 4,948; and Thorpe, 1,896.
All of the candidates but Thorpe had supported the district's operating levy, which was voted down 4,627 no to 4,411 yes.
Croonquist, 45, of Kandiyohi, is a Lutheran pastor.
Mathiasen, 39, is a self-employed business communications specialist.
Streed, 38, is a mortician and partner in the Harvey Anderson and Johnson Funeral Homes.
