Willmar School Board meets Monday
WILLMAR -- The Willmar School Board will meet in a workshop session at 4:30 p.m. Monday in the board room on the first floor of the Willmar Education and Arts Center, 611 Fifth St. S.W.
The agenda includes a discussion of a potential operating levy for the district. An operating levy of $498 per pupil is scheduled to expire in a year, and the board has discussed asking voters to renew it this fall.
Principals from Roosevelt and Kennedy elementary schools and Willmar Middle School will report on the district's first year with two K-5 elementary schools and a 6-8 middle school.
The district reorganized for grades K-8 last year as part of a budget-cutting plan.
The meeting will be recorded and will be shown at Willmar local cable access Channel 19 at 9 p.m. Monday.
