The board is scheduled to discuss the audit of fiscal year 2010. They will meet with representatives of from Conway, Deuth and Schmiesing of Willmar, which conducted the audit.

The audit indicates that the district's general fund balance was about $4.8 million, about 12 percent of annual expenditures. The fund balance is available to help maintain the district's cash flow and to be used in case of emergency.

The fund balance increased in part because school officials kept a tight rein on spending for supplies and capital outlay, spending less than budgeted in some areas.

Enrollment, figured as the average daily enrollment, fell by 44 students from 2009 to 2010. The 2010 enrollment level was about the same as the 2008 enrollment.

The board will also canvass the results of Tuesday's election. A proposed operating levy failed in the district, and three new members were elected to the board.

The board will listen to public comments related to items on the agenda at the beginning of the meeting. Those who want to comment on issues that are not on Monday's agenda may do so at the end of the meeting.

Board meetings are shown live on Willmar local cable access channel 18 and are shown later in the week on channel 19.
