WILLMAR -- Willmar scorched Sartell 6-1 in boys tennis on Thursday which improved the Willmar record in Central Lakes Conference matches to 4-3.
The players had to fight wind gust over 25 miles-per-hour. But the wind took the edge off the 90-degree heat wave.
Willmar swept singles behind Jim Neis, Trent Fader, Mitch Fader and Evan Armstrong.
Willmart's Matt Horning-Aaron Sagedahl won at 1-doubles and Chris Van Doren-Ryan Sheehan at 2-doubles, all in straight sets.
In the day's best match, Sabre twins Matt and Ryan Nahan nipped Landon Peterson and Mark Dunham 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 for winless Sartell's lone point.
Willmar hosts a triangular Saturday with Benson and Monticello starting at 9 a.m.
